It is situated on a 40-acre working horse boarding and training ranch with breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada and Pinenut Mountains. Visitors experience the feel of the Old West while staying in one of three luxurious bedrooms with private bath in a 4500 square foot modern ranch house decorated with antiques and original artwork. The beautifully landscaped grounds include a small birch forest, rustic benches and swings, iron and bronze artwork, and a pond with fountains and colorful Koi. Wild horses roam BLM land within easy walking distance. Guests have 24-hour access to their rooms, which all feature air conditioning and high-speed internet access. Genoa House Inn

The inn is an authentic Greek Revival Victorian home, built by newspaper publisher A.C. Pratt in 1872, and it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. There are three unique guest rooms, featuring antique furnishings including a 100 year old claw foot bathtub and other fixtures in the Garden Room and a handmade barn wood queen sized bed in the Rose Room. Pampering guests is the specialty of the Genoa House. Coffee or tea is delivered to the rooms each morning, and guests have the option of breakfast in their rooms or in the sunlit dining room. Breakfast is also served outdoors on the porch when the weather is fine, giving guests a view of the beautiful grounds with 100 year old plantings. Thought to date from 1858, less than ten years after the first settlers arrived, the house has been operated as a bed and breakfast since 2009. Situated on nearly an acre of manicured grounds with an orchard, the house has been renovated to modern standards. There are two guest bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, and the other with a Queen. Both rooms are decorated with Victorian antiques and feature private baths, cable TV, air conditioning, and internet access. Breakfast is served to order each morning in the dining room, which seats six comfortably. The White House is the only bed and breakfast in the area that accepts pets. |
